Description
Dalmore 25 Year old 2022 Highland Single Malt is a luxurious Whisky aged in American white oak, followed by a second maturation in Palomino Fino Sherry butts and first fill bourbon casks. Taking the maturation further, they are then married together in bourbon barrels and finally in Tawny Port pipes.
On the nose there are aromas of figs and spongecake, this is followed by vanilla and marzipan alongside tropical fruits and slight balsamic notes. The fruity notes continue on the palate, only this time with rich flavours damsons, dates and raisins. this is complimented by Citrus peel with chocolate and liquorice. The finish is sweet and spicy; brown sugar, dark chocolate, fresh gingerbread cookies and treacle.
