  • The 2022 release of Ardbeg 25 Year Old is a smoky single malt with layers of sweetness that was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled in 2021. Aromas of cream, smoke, peppermint, toffee, fennel, pine resin, earthy bonfires and ripe bananas fill the nose, complemented by notes of white pepper, sherbet lemons, candied apples, oranges, pears, tar, carbolic soap, creamy toffee, aniseed, rich smoke and antiseptic throughout the palate. The newest and also oldest whisky to be released to Ardbeg's core range. This supreme expression proves unequivocally that age cannot tame Ardbeg’s raw smoky power. But it can yield some of the most complex and majestic flavours ever to burst forth from the Islay based distillery. Bottled from incredibly rare casks filled during some of the Distillery’s darkest days, this is Ardbeg at its most intricate, balanced and beguiling.   • Glen Scotia 18 year old is aged in American oak casks and treated to a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks, a super-tasty single malt from the Campbeltown distillery. The 18 year old has a great balance between fruity sweetness and classic Campbeltown funk and salinity. Tasting Notes: Glen Scotia 18 Year Old NOSE Honey, vanilla, sultanas drizzled with old rum, wafts of sea breeze and a touch of cherry. PALATE Citrus peels (both orange and lemon) lead into more dried fruit sweetness. Salted caramel, mature oak and some black tea richness. FINISH Ginger, milk chocolate, oatcakes and raisin.
