  • Orkney 13 Year Old Reserve Cask - Parcel 8 A 13-year-old Orkney single malt from the eighth-release in the Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Cask series, that was made at an undisclosed distillery on Orkney and matured in a batch of four casks - two sherry butts and two ex-bourbon barrels - until 2022. Aromas of heathery smoke, mint, rich earth and dark chocolate fill the nose, complemented by notes of candied ginger, cinnamon, golden syrup and mint chocolate throughout the palate.   • Ardbeg Supernova 2019 Committee Release. The Ardbeg distillery was founded in 1815 by John Macdougall on the island of Islay (pronounced ‘eye-lah’). As with many other distilleries there have been a number of owners over the years and a lot of ups and downs. One thing has remained consistent, the name and the unique letter A that’s been trademarked. 2019 brought to the retail market a limited release of Ardbeg Supernova. Said to be the peatiest whiskey in the Ardbeg line up, it has been described as a “peat bomb” or “peat explosion.” It was last seen on retail shelves back in 2015 as part of a celebration to mark the brand sending some of spirit into space to orbit the Earth for three years about the International Space Station. Tasting Notes: Ardbeg Supernova 2019 Committee Release Vital Stats: This single malt whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels is 100% malted barley. Released October 2019; Limited release; Non chill-filtered at 53.8% ABV; no age statement; 750 ml. Appearance: Pale bronze Nose: It’s a full body peat that wafts into your nose. The smell is quite voluptuous, strong, yet pleasant. To me, there is not a “knock your socks off” smokey peat smell nor is it acrid. For a scotch, the smell seems very balanced between peat and sweetness which seems weird for the being the peatiest whisky brand. Palate: The flavor of this single malt scotch is very buttery and spicy with a smoky finish. It’s very smooth going down. For possibly being one of the peatiest whiskies in the world this is one of the smoothest I’ve ever encountered. Ardbeg Supernova 2019 Committee Release $250.00
  • Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release The collection is an exhibition of the most iconic moments across the Six Decades of Bond; each decade encapsulated on its own packaging. Bringing to life the innovations and inventions of James Bond across the years, the packaging has been colour washed with one of the trending colours of the decade it represents. DECADE I The 1960s was a singular decade for James Bond. The debut of the suave spy icon onto the silver screen in 1962 was embodied by the inimitable Sean Connery, who went on to appear in six films across the next ten years. Resting only when George Lazenby starred in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969, Sir Sean was to roar back in triumph in 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever.  The pack design includes sketches from Goldfinger (1964), You Only Live Twice (1967) where Little Nellie is in a combat sequence, and the dummy jet pack worn by Bond in Thunderball (1965). ABOUT THE RELEASE This exceptional single malt whisky has been created by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker, Kirsteen Campbell to reflect the character of James Bond. A force of nature defined by his Scottish heritage, he carries himself with modesty and humility.  Like James Bond, the expression exudes a sense of style and maturity which has evolved over the years. The whisky is consistent within all six bottles. TASTING NOTES: Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release NOSE Fresh and vibrant notes of lemon and lime, a sprinkle of sherbet, leading into a sweet vanilla and coconut, with a hint of dried fig and raisin. PALATE Orange zest and fizzy sherbet with a lemon freshness, gentle oak and subtle ginger spice, leading into a deep dark chocolate, figs and baked apple tart with a honey drizzle.
