The whisky is formidable, a sherry-butt ex bourbon barrel single malt bottled at 80.6 proof, instilled with a remarkable degree of complexity - the profile spans sour citrus, sherry undertones and creamy vanilla, with a slightly oily and sweet mouthfeel that coats the throat before giving way to a lengthy finish swimming with orange zest.   • Mortlach 30 Year Old Midnight Malt 2022 Release A limited-edition 30-year-old single malt from Mortlach, Midnight malt was initially matured in a combination of refill American oak and European oak casks, before being finished in Bordeaux wine, Calvados and Guatemalan rum casks, and finally married in custom quarter casks. Aromas of black pepper, garden herbs, sweet oak and vanilla fill the nose, complemented by notes of wine-soaked apples, baking spices, black pepper, mint chocolate and dried fruit throughout the palate.
